Today I believe was very productive we finished our script, we finished our reflection presentation and reflection sheet meaning this afternoon we can present to Mr Brown. We made so much progress in these eleven weeks.

Today Lachlan and I finally did our experiments in Mr Brown’s office. We prepared all our gear and did the three experiments.
First, we did potassium that made which made the flame a purple/red then we put in the copper chloride turning it mainly green some blue finally we added the sodium borate changing it orange. Then we focused on our graph and reflections. Tomorrow we plan to finish up and present to Mr Brown.

4p Last Week 9/4/2019

 

Today Lachlan and Me did our first experiment with Potassium first we tried to use the gas burner but couldn’t see the flame in the sunlight. Then we went to the science cupboard and found a candle but unfortunately the candles flame was not hot enough so we moved the gas burner to the shade and finally we could see a faint flame.Then we got our wet skewer and put it in the potassium when we pulled it out it was powdered in the chemical we held it above the fire and you could see faint shades of purple then the skewer caught fire. Today I think we did well in our experiment preparation but we really need to work on recording our experiment I think the thing we could do better next time would be to write down the method before and after we do the experiment.                                                                                   By Robbie 🙂 (;

Today Lachlan and I had the goal to do our experiments but there seemed to be some issues with the resources so we had to do our scratch side projects that explains how fire changes colour tomorrow we are going to be conducting.

Itch

I would rate this book 9.5/10

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys science fiction with little drops of excitement and if you enjoyed it definitely read the other two Itch rocks and Itch craft.

Let me tell you something about me…

I love being a blacksmith. I mean I REALLY love being a blacksmith. I love the hammers,  the heat, the tools, the furnace and the bellows. Once I am in there it is just me the hammer and the metal. I feel calm and aware of my surroundings. It is incredible. I wish I could go everyday but they are only open on weekends. The funny thing is when we are there we have to turn the smoke alarm off.

This is my second day in room six. So far it has been great.

I have found math challenging.

I am looking ford to when we start READING.

I am not looking ford to speech.

The best thing about being back at school is having lunch.

Did you know the maori word for practise is whakahuatia.

Finally back at school. I have been waiting 6 weeks for this. I have really missed the writing,reading,math and lunch.

I cant wait to see what 2018 has to reveal I am really exited to be back at school. Have a great day.
